W-Link

Last Updated: January 19, 2026

W-Link (“we”, “us”, or “our”) respects your privacy.

This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use the W-Link application. Simply put: We do not collect or store any of your personal data.

1. Data Collection and Use

W-Link is a local network controller.

  • Local Communication: The App communicates directly with your WLED devices (e.g., ESP8266/ESP32 controllers) solely within your local network (Wi-Fi).
  • No Cloud Upload: All control commands, settings, and device lists are stored locally on your device or sent directly to the WLED hardware. We do not operate a cloud server and do not upload any of your data to the internet.
  • No Tracking: We do not use third-party analytics tools (such as Google Analytics, Flurry, etc.) to track your behavior or collect device identifiers.

2. Network Permissions

The App requires access to your Local Network permissions strictly for:

  • • Discovering WLED devices on your LAN via the mDNS protocol.
  • • Sending HTTP requests to devices to control lighting.

3. Data Security

Since all data remains on your personal device and local network, the security of your privacy primarily depends on the security of your own network environment.
